FREE On-demand Webinar Replay (to be delivered in Cantonese)
Speakers: Mr. Raymond Li, Senior Technical Officer, Global Technical Service (Softlines)
Protective clothing against ultraviolet radiation (UV) is considered as Category 1 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) under the scope of the EU Regulation for Personal Protective Equipment 2016/425. Recognized test methods have to be used to prove the UV protection of apparel, including swimwear and sportswear, whichever has any related claim of the property. Such products should have proper labelling according to the standard, while CE marking is also required.
This webinar aims to give all personnel involved in the quality control of textiles products a basic understanding of the EU requirements for UV Protective Clothing.
